Pera Consulting helps developing economies make the right decisions to realise their potential. In times of technological and social change, making sure that the relevant institutional structures and business support skills are in place to sustain economic growth is critical.

Of course there’s no single answer. Every case needs to be considered on its own merits. The very first step is determining the structure and health of local governance and assessing programme delivery capability. This helps in identifying gaps or areas that need strengthening. Only then can we find the appropriate way to achieve effective institutional performance.

Well resourced and connected

A menu of support might include in-service coaching and training, mentoring, or arranging periods of secondment to similar organisations. We can offer these opportunities ourselves, or via well-established connections with leading academic and industrial training bodies.

Our broad scope of capacity building experience encompasses transfer of skills and know-how in matters of governance, processes and methodologies, and technical skills. Acting independently, we see the broader picture, applying lessons learned from other economies, and making sure that the same mistakes aren’t made during institutional reform.

Tried-and-tested techniques

We have many years of experience working within the European Commission, and have developed tried-and-tested techniques to accelerate economy building through Europe Aid and other aid agencies. Through a strong, wide-ranging network of contacts in the international business community, we can embed skills and make connections that will leave a lasting legacy.
